At Gulval School we are committed to providing a warm, caring and safe environment for all our children so that they can learn, grow and thrive in a relaxed and secure environment. Bullying of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our school. We take all incidents of bullying seriously. Bullying hurts and no-one deserves to be a victim of bullying. Everybody has the right to be treated with respect and pupils who are bullying others need support in order to learn different ways of behaving and communicating. At Gulval School, we acknowledge that bullying does happen from time to time – indeed, it would be unrealistic to claim that it does not. When bullying does occur, everyone should be able to share and know that incidents will be dealt with promptly and effectively in accordance with our anti-bullying policy. There are a number of ways in which a child of parents can communicate if they believe they are being bullied. For example;

  • We have Trusted Adults
  • We have Worry and Wishes boxes in all classrooms and shared spaces
  • We have play leaders on hand at play and lunch times
  • We are open and honest and pride ourselves on the positive relationships we build with our children

We also have a dedicated email address for parents to communicate directly with the Principal or Vice Principal for issues relating to bullying:
